The sale of wines from our online store is exclusively reserved for persons of legal age in their country of residence on the date of the order, which the Customer expressly declares and guarantees.

Article 2: Scope of application
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to all orders placed via the www.jalanadventures.com website. The Customer acknowledges having read these General Terms and Conditions of Sale and accepts their terms by clicking on the box provided for this purpose when confirming the order. For any legal issues not covered by these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, the distance selling rules of the place where the company is based shall apply. This contract is governed by French law.
Article 3: Products
The essential characteristics of the Products and their prices are described and presented as accurately as possible in each Product description on the Website. The Customer expressly declares that they have read this information before placing an order. The choice and purchase of a Product from the Website is the sole responsibility of the Customer. Products are offered subject to availability. As the Products sold on the Website are biologically living Products, the Customer’s attention is drawn to the fact that:
– The Products may change over time, in particular their colour and taste may be altered;
– The Products must be subject to specific storage and preservation conditions.
They must be stored in a dry place, away from light, without significant temperature variations (average of 17°C) or thermal shock, and away from all chemical products.
The perfect representation of the Products on the website cannot be guaranteed, in particular due to differences in colour rendering by internet browser software and/or display monitors. These differences, provided they do not relate to the essential characteristics of the Products and do not affect their quality, cannot justify cancellation of an order or refusal of delivery.
Article 4: Ordering
Any order for a Product from the Website requires the Customer to first identify themselves by filling out a form containing the following information: first name, last name, address, email address, delivery address, telephone number and password. Mandatory information is indicated as such on the form. If the Customer already has a personal account on the Website, they can identify themselves by logging in directly to this personal account using their personal login details: email address and password.
Jalan Adventures undertakes to accept orders placed via the Internet in accordance with these General Terms and Conditions of Sale and while stocks last. In the event of a stock shortage, Jalan Adventures will inform the Customer of the delivery times required to obtain the desired Product or will offer a replacement Product. Jalan Adventures will fulfil each order by making one or more deliveries of the Products ordered. By confirming the order, the Customer declares that they have read and accept these General Terms and Conditions of Sale. All orders will only be taken into consideration after receipt of payment and will be confirmed by Jalan Adventures by email. Jalan Adventures reserves the right to cancel any orders that are non-compliant or questionable, as well as those placed by a Customer with whom there is any dispute. Certain Products sold by Jalan Adventures may be subject to a minimum purchase quantity. When a Product can only be ordered in quantities above a certain amount, this will be specified on the Website prior to any order being placed.
Article 5: Prices
Shipping and delivery costs vary depending on the number of Products ordered and the country of shipment. The current price of the Products is that shown on the website on the day of the order. Our prices are in euros, inclusive of all taxes, excluding shipping costs. Our pricing conditions are indicative and may be modified at any time without notice, it being understood, however, that the price shown on the website on the day of the order will be the only one applicable to the Customer.
Article 6: Payment terms
The Customer guarantees that they are the holder of the bank card used and that they are fully authorised to use it to pay for their order, and that this method of payment gives access to sufficient funds to cover the full price of their order. Payments made by the Customer shall only be considered final after Jalan Adventures has actually received the sums due. Furthermore, Jalan Adventures reserves the right, in the event of non-compliance with the above payment terms, to suspend or cancel the delivery of any orders currently being processed by the Customer. Jalan Adventures also reserves the right to refuse to make a delivery or to honour an order if the Customer has not paid for a previous order in full or in part, or if a payment dispute is currently being administered.
Article 7: Delivery
We guarantee the quality and good condition of all items we send. We cannot be held responsible for any damage to the order caused by transport or delivery. Delivery will be made to the address indicated when the Customer places the order. The information provided when placing the order is binding on the Customer; in the event of an error, Jalan Adventures cannot be held liable and no compensation or refund will be made in the event of loss of the products.
7.1 Delivery in mainland France
Shipping costs, payable by the Customer, are calculated automatically when the order is placed. Free shipping is available for purchases of 6 or more 75cl bottles. The order is delivered to the delivery address chosen by the Customer. Jalan Adventures undertakes to make every effort to deliver the Products ordered as quickly as possible. The average delivery time for orders is 2 to 6 working days after receipt of payment. Non-working days include Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, as well as days when road transport is prohibited or made difficult for any other reason. The Customer is required to carefully check their packages upon delivery in order to immediately report any reservations to the carrier.
7.2 International delivery
The shipping costs, which are payable by the Customer, are indicated at the time of ordering based on the Customer’s country of delivery. Free shipping is available for orders of 12 or more 75cl bottles to selected European countries (the list is provided on the website). For countries not listed on our website, the Customer may send an email requesting a shipping cost estimate for their country. Once the email is received by Jalan Adventures, our team will compare pricing and delivery times based on the Customer’s exact address and will send them the best offer for their order.
Orders are delivered to the delivery address selected by the Customer. Jalan Adventures commits to making every effort to deliver the ordered Products as quickly as possible. The average delivery time depends on the destination country. The Customer must carefully inspect their packages upon delivery in order to immediately report any issues to the carrier.
Article 8: Cancellation rights and returns policy
In accordance with current legal provisions, the Customer has a cancellation period of fourteen (14) days from the date of receipt of their order by the Customer or a third party designated by them. During this period, the Customer has the right to return the Products, without having to justify their reasons or pay a penalty, for exchange or refund. Returns must be made in their original condition and complete (including packaging and accessories) so that they can be put back on the market in new condition, accompanied by the purchase invoice.
To exercise this right, the Customer must notify their decision to withdraw:
– By post to the following address: Jalan Wines – 585 route de Cairanne – 84150 Violès.
– By email from the contact page of the Jalan Adventures website.
If the right of withdrawal is exercised within the aforementioned period, only the price of the Product(s) purchased and the delivery costs will be refunded; the return costs are and remain the responsibility of the Customer. The refund of payments received, including delivery costs, will be made within fourteen (14) days of the date of receipt of the Products by Jalan Adventures. Jalan Adventures will make the refund using the payment method agreed with the Customer.
Article 9: Retention of title
In accordance with the law of 1 May 1980, the Products delivered to the Customer are sold subject to retention of title. The transfer of ownership is subject to full payment of the price of the Products by the Customer, on the due date agreed between the parties. In the event of non-payment of the total price of the goods on the agreed due date, Jalan Adventures reserves the right to claim ownership of the Products at the Customer’s expense and risk and to take legal action if they are no longer in the Customer’s possession or if it has not been possible to recover them.
Article 10: Warranties
In accordance with the legal provisions in force, the Products supplied by Jalan Adventures are automatically covered, without additional payment and independently of the right of withdrawal, by the legal warranty of conformity under the conditions of Articles L.217-4 et seq. of the French Consumer Code for Products that are apparently defective, damaged or broken, or do not correspond to the order, and the legal warranty against hidden defects provided for in Articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code. A Product is compliant if it corresponds to the description given by Jalan Adventures and if it has the qualities that a Customer can legitimately expect.
However, the Customer may not contest the conformity of the Product by invoking a defect that they knew about or could not have been unaware of when they entered into the contract, or the fact that the Product does not correspond to a specific use sought and which was not brought to the attention of Jalan Adventures. Furthermore, the warranty does not cover any defects, damage or anomalies that did not exist at the time of delivery of the Product and that result, in particular, from an accident, force majeure, or abnormal use or storage of the Products by the Customer.
In order to assert their rights under these warranties, the Customer must inform Jalan Adventures of the non-conformity of the Products within THREE (3) to FIVE (5) days of delivery of the Products, or of the discovery of hidden defects within the above-mentioned time limits, and return or bring back to the store the defective Products in the condition in which they were received, with all components (accessories, packaging, etc.).
All complaints must be sent by the Customer to Jalan Adventures by email using the contact form or by post.
Jalan Adventures will refund or replace Products under warranty that are deemed non-compliant or defective within TEN (10) days of Jalan Adventures becoming aware of the non-compliance or hidden defect. Shipping costs will be refunded on the basis of the invoiced rate and return costs will be refunded upon presentation of supporting documents. The refund will be made using the payment method agreed between Jalan Adventures and the Customer.
Article 11: Intellectual Property
The content of the Website (photos, text, ergonomics, graphic charter, etc.) is the property of Jalan Adventures and is protected by French and international laws relating to intellectual property, in particular copyright.
The logos or any other commercial designation used to represent the Products on the Website, or to designate Jalan Adventures, whether registered or not, belong exclusively to Jalan Adventures.
Any reproduction of this content, in whole or in part, by any means and on any medium whatsoever, is strictly prohibited and may constitute an offence of counterfeiting and/or unfair competition.
Article 12: Force majeure
Neither party shall be liable for the total or partial non-performance of its obligations under this contract if such non-performance is caused by an event constituting force majeure. Events fulfilling the criteria established by case law shall be considered as cases of force majeure. The parties agree that they shall consult each other as soon as possible in order to determine together the terms and conditions for the performance of the order during the period of force majeure. Finally, we cannot be held liable in the event of breakdowns, errors, viruses, intrusions and obstacles to continuous access to our site, or any incident resulting from browsing the internet.
Article 13: Settlement of disputes
In the event of a dispute, Jalan Adventures will make every effort to resolve it amicably within the framework of these general terms and conditions of sale. Any disputes that may arise from the purchase and sale transactions concluded under these GTC, concerning their validity, interpretation, execution, termination, consequences and repercussions, and which cannot be resolved between Jalan Adventures and the Customer, shall be submitted to the competent courts under the conditions of ordinary law. These general terms and conditions of sale are subject to French law. Any dispute concerning the interpretation or execution of these general terms and conditions of sale shall fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Avignon.
Article 14: Personal data
In the context of its relationship with the Customer, Jalan Adventures is required to collect personal data and process it in computerised memory in accordance with the provisions of the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, as amended, and the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation of 25 May 2018. This information is intended exclusively for Jalan Adventures, which undertakes to protect it. By agreeing to these general terms and conditions of sale, you acknowledge that you have read our confidentiality commitment and consent to our collection and use of this data. In accordance with the applicable regulations on the protection of personal data, you have the right to access, rectify, oppose, erase, restrict and transfer your data. For any request, please contact our customer service department using the contact form or by post. Credit card payments are secured by an SSL-compliant online payment system. Furthermore, none of the banking information you provide us with when making an online purchase is stored or visible on the Internet. Jalan Adventures guarantees the confidentiality of your data.
